Was Grey a factory paint scheme for FD's at any time? JDM perhaps?

A car Im looking at is painted "Charcoal Gray"

Is this an OEM mazda color or some other manufacturer? Or completely custom?

That photo I posted above is OEM, or at least it's a paint based off of the OEM color. Here are all the color codes for FDs:

1992-2002 Mazda RX-7 Color Codes:

J9 = Competition Yellow Mica
25G = Titanium Grey Metallic (JDM)
PZ = Brilliant Black
PT = Chaste White
M8 = Montego Blue
3L = Silverstone Metallic
NU = Vintage Red
20P = Innocent Blue Mica
??? = Sunburst Yellow

Hard to say. If it's in this country, it's a repaint/color change. You'd have to ask the person who had it repainted if they used a Mazda color code, or one from another manufacturer.... there's lots of charcoal grey cars out there from other manufacturers.

 

Diamond Graphite from Infiniti will work... my favorite Grey.

I think that Charcoal Grey is a color on the current Mazda Tribute.

 

I know nothing about the Tribute, can anyone confirm this?
