Also, any issue mixing 5w-30 with 10w-30? Also, what do you all recommend for oil? brand and weight?

also can anyone comment on the Idemitsu oil and the nippon filters for sale on rx7.com? They list 20w-50 as being for all turbo applications, then I read elsewhere that higher viscosity will rob horsepower??

thx

Use 10w30. Here's a thread on oils:

Thanks, I will stick with the Castrol GTX 10w-30, do you have any thoughts on the K&N oil filter? or stick with the nippon from rx7.com?

Also I am going to post this here since when I try to make a new thread, I get a proxy error.

CUSCO STRUT TOWER BAR - anyone have a comment as to how these align when installed? does it fit center around the mounts? Also what is the difference between the Type D cusco bar on rx7.com verses the type OS?

thx

Thumbs up

there was a thread here about the oil filter. search it maybe you can find it but to summ it up it came down to reccomending not to use fram or any other brand they make. ppl favored pure one since it has a lock guard that traps the oil in the filter when the engine is shut down. which is good since our oil filter is upside down
