Any ideas for an odd boost problem
Hiya,
Think i'm gonna take my rex to the tune shop but would like to know if anyone else has had this..
My cars only pulling 0.5 bar of boost on the first and second turbo...0.8 I understand is stock....
Mods are HKS air induction, kakimoto exhaust and aftermkt clutch. Rebuild was done about 20k ago. Also has the stock ecu..
I've been trying to elimiate things that it could be. Changed the plugs, leads are fine & looking good. Replaced the hoses to the dump valves, took the dump valves off and cleaned the insides... still doing the same thing.. no blockages in there.
Oddly, when I got my car from Japland, it had the Apexi EL commander in.. though they'd taken the gauges. I plugged the gauge back in after buying a newen and the peak was set at 0.5 as the warnings were. The guy who had it before me in Japland seemed to know about this as these were the presets (which I find the odd thing)
My thoughts other than the dump valve would be blocked cat. Though i've not been getting any heat light going (don't know if it does that when its blocked?)
Also another thought of mine would be a fudged ECU?
It seems to be pulling stock bhp 265bhp ish at the fly, at 0.5 bar.
Anyone had a issue like this before?

Still got your catalytic converter??? If so than punch it or get a new one/midpipe, that may be your problem.
