any common fd power window faults?

just trying to help a friend with the power windows on his 96 fd, fuses are ok and power is at the fuse but no power at either switch, suspect a broken wire etc. or a connecter between the fuse and switchs somewhere has a bad connection, any help appreciated

a lot of people have issues with the switches themselves. the contact plate inside the switch gets dirty. if this is the case for you, *CAREFULLY* take the switch apart and clean the contact plate.

I had this same problem in my 94 FD recently. Power to the fuse box. good fuses. the switches functioned if I put power strait to them and since the passenger door runs through the drivers door switch they both failed. I found the short in the rubber hose that connects the drivers door to the dash. All I had to do was pull back the hosing and patch it.
