Anti theft cut fuel?

Today at lunch I'm breaking in the car's motor so I went to take it for a short drive .

the car started . But there was an alarm going off , not the anti theft headlights going up and down all this just it sounded like the low coolant alarm I looked at my gauges didnt see any idiot lights going off . But it wouldnt stop so I shut hte car off and checked all my fluids . which were good. I got back in the car and it would not start . I checked my fuel pump fuses , my relays thinking it might be a fuel issue but all seems to work fine . short of having someone test the fuel pump signal when I cranked because i was alone .

I tried deflooding it incase that was the issue , but there is no puf no almost start nothing . Just honestly seems dry.

So after a while I started to think hey maybe it had something to do with the anti theft ..

does the anti theft cut ignition or fuel ??

my anti theft has on occasion gone off randomly .. and I've disconnected the negative battery terminal , and reconnected it and all has been fine .

It is my understanding that the factory anti theft system disables ignition and cuts power to the starter. So if the car is cranking over then I would guess your problem is not the factory anti theft system

Having said that, I am not 100% positive. The service highlights manual explains the system.

I have hte starter wired up directly . via a different relay .

When the factory alarm is triggered, the horn sounds intermittently, the retractable headlights and the hazard warning lights flash, and the starter cannot be operated. After 3 minutes, the lights and horn stop, but the starter remains inoperable unless the key is used. Nothing else is affected. See Section J2 of the RX7 Body Electric Manual.
