Smile Another "what is this part" Q

Right next to the oil pressure sendor is a little one wire sensor that screws to the block...is this the "heat guage" what does this do. I think the wire from the enginer harness clips to it...(yellow wire w/ red dots).

Next is the black wire with black clip...one wire on the engine harness that is located close the the yellow wire mentioned above and next to the knock sensore receptacle. It is not a grounding wire.

Last the oil pressure sendor connects to the drivers side harness not the enginer harness right?

thanks

There are three temp sensors on the engine, two on the water pump housing and the one that you mention. One drives the gage, one sends output to the ECM, and the other is a switch that turns on the fans. I believe the one that you are talking about drives the gage.

IIRC, the oil pressure sender connects to the driver's side harness.

I'm not sure about the single black wire you are talking about. There is one that goes the AC compressor... maybe it is that one?

thanks...for the feedback. I thought maybe the wire connects to a balck clip on the drivers side harness? I though the a/c, ps starter clips connected to the driver's side harness?

thanks

Could you be talking about the knock sensor?

I've got my own question: Were does the water temp sensor plug in? I'm referring to the one on the block.

Thanks, Matt
