Another vacuum hose question. . .

Okay, so I'm still working on my vacuum lines, and came upon another question. A while ago I had a profec B spec II installed by Pettit. . . kinda wish I did it myself so I could learn a little bit more, but that's neither here nor there.

Anyway, I got to the area of the wastegate control and turbo precontrol solenoids. . . and something is different. The pipe that should go to the top nipple of the wastegate control has been capped. Just wanted to make sure this is correct, and if so. . .what do I do with the hose that comes from the top of the solenoid? Should I cap the nipple, just leave the hose going into nowhere. . .I just don't know.

In the second picture the schematic shows "A" being capped, but "B" should be going into the top nipple on the Wastegate control.

yeah, that's right. if you look at a colored version of the vacuum hose diagram carefully it will show you that whoever did that just made it easier.

Oh yeah, now I see why they did that, just follow the green all the way down. So I don't even need to attach any hosing to the top of the wastegate control. . .Maybe I'll cap it for cosmetics.

So now that the boost controller is managing the wastegate, this solenoid is kinda useless isn't it?
