CO Another FPD and FPR thread

Well, I do apologize in advance for bringing up a old topic of debate but it seems that most threads I've found are over 10 years old and I wanted to shine light in regards to my concerns.
Now a little background....I've had over 9 or so rx-7's in the past and currently acquired a FD with about 58k miles. What was supposed to be a simple vacuum line job turned in to a whole project. I want to keep the car/engine as stock as possible while fortifying the whatever I can and eliminating all possible points of failure.
By now it's pretty obvious to me that the FPD must be replaced or eliminated at around this mileage. Since I have already spent a considerable amount of money in replacement parts for the OEM components I was strongly considering replacing the FPD with a new OEM unit, but after spending some more money on injector diffusers, o rings and a cleaning service I am considering eliminating it and in it's place use the Aeromotive FPR which integrates a FPD within. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Aeromotive-X1-Series-Fuel-Pressure-Regulator-13304-/191550049754?hash=item2c9945cdda&vxp=mtr
Now this seems to be a new model that was recently released and seems quite good. I know a lot of you guys are already running Aeromotive FPR on your single turbo cars, but would it be overkill on a stock sequential vehicle?
I don't want to simply eliminate the FPD since it seems to do a rather important job.

Why do you think that regulator dampens any more than any other regulator?

I know most aftermarket fuel pressure regulators integrate a FPD within. I just saw this shiny new part and thought I'd buy it.

What are most people running as far as FPR for their close to stock cars?
