Annoying beep over 5000rpm

I was out driving yesterday and it is the first time I have taken the car over 4000rpm since fixing my rev counter that was bouncing around like a mad frog. Tach works fine now. but noticed now when rpm goes over about 5000rpm I get a warning beep sound. My tuner is pretty sure it is the tach making the sound but not 100% sure how to resolve it? Anyone help me out please. It is very annoying. Fortunately my Apexi GT Back box drowns the worst of the beep out!!

Car is a 1994 FD3 by the way. and I am on a Microtech ECU should anyone wish to know.

Stock there is a redline buzzer that's supposed to go off near redline. Many FD's you can't hear it over the exhaust . The beeper is in CPU #2 in the driver's foot well.

That said it almost sounds like the redline buzzer system is confused and thinking you're hitting redline when you're not. Maybe something from fixing the tach isn't just right so it's getting a wrong tach signal to base that redline beeper on.

That was along the lines of what my tuner said. What coming out of the tach triggers that? is there something I can cut from the tack to stop it or is it related the the capacitors that went in? I had to re-calibrate the tach after repair as the readout was off so not sure if that is the issue and buzzer gets a separate signal from elsewhere. I don't want to start messing with an ECU. Is that the F100 box by any chace? I gather that controls a few things? Also I would prefer to get a warning buzzer for things that need it if it is the same buzzer that does everything like water level etc?
