Well, as time goes on, I suspect mileage might be a factor in choosing a CDN FD, but that may be a stretch.

I never realized it, but the Oil Pressure Guage is metric in Canada and imperial in the US. See in the pic above.

XSTransAm, You need to get in there with a vacuum cleaner!

I was not looking for a Canadian FD, it was just the car that I found in the best condition for the best price. If it were US Spec, I still would have bought it.

I know the block heaters were US options - they very well might have been dealer-installed options in Canada as well, not a factory-installed feature. That's a pretty typical dealer option for many cars.

Talking Imported a 93 Canadian, eh.

I imported a 93 Montego base from Vancouver.
I needed a letter from Mazda verifying that serial number met US DOT and environmental protection standards.
Also needed a notarized bill of sale, pay tax at the border, temporary lice tags, and a Washington state vehicle inspection and emissions check.
I had to hit the officiales and mechanics over the head to record Kilometers instead of Miles off the odometer for anything involving warantee.

For that, I got a low mileage pampered car always kept in a grage.

I liked the woven black fabric seats for appearance, care, breathing, and temperature.

I liked the daytime running lights, and would like to rig them up on my current 93 US model. Is that easy?

I liked the extra millimeters of headroom, because it did not have the rainroof. I have had trouble finding the few US models without the roof.

I did have trouble with it picking up and retaining maple leafs in the wheel wells.

I bought my car from Ontario and it only had 50,000miles...never winter driven..that's the advantage!
