Am I retarded?

Am I completely blind or is the ac switch (the one inside the car on the dash not on this diagram. If any one knows could you copy this and circle it or just tell me where it is. I pulled my ac want to use the switch for something else so I would like to find the wires to it so I don't have to pull my dash apart. Thanks

Could be retarded or blind?
Just kidding! Forest and trees thing. The AC switch is the switch in the Heater Control Unit or just above the Refrigerant Pressure switch (f) connector outline G-04 1/3 up the page and 3/4 accross.

I thought that might be it but it looked like it was in the control unit. Thanks

Any one know if you can tap into that switch without pulling the dash apart. Is there any way to get that section of the dash out without pulling the gauge cluster? I would like to just disconect the wires from it at an easyer location to tap into.

i believe the a/c dash switch is held in with one or two screws from the back, but it would be possible to get to the wires leading from it if you have very small flexible hands.

but you would probably **** something up in the process if you dont remove the entire cluster, being so retarded and all (j/k) so i would recommend removing the whole surround... :p

You will have to find connector G01 pin 1G and pull the white wire then find connector G13 (d side) pin V/P(thats violet with pink stripe) , the d or ac denotes one side of connector or the other. You will have to ohmically check each wire to make sure it is not connected internally but it doesn't show on the schematic so I doubt it. Also you will probably loose the green ON light unless it is internal to the Heater control unit. Good luck!

That would mean he would also have to do the passenger seat conversion to fit all that NOS!
