am I OK mounting my block on a stand with 2 bolts?

I don't have an adapter, and just put my block on my stand today. ATM it's only held on by two bolts (more than enough thread and one is a 9 grade, the other 8.8) on the front iron. Is this going to be OK? It seems very sturdy and nicely balanced, I just want to see that the bolts aren't going to snap or anything... for a 9 grade bolt I would hope not.

Right now its just a shortbolck but I will be bolting up my single turbo and the LIM before it goes back in the car.

I would put a 2x4 across the front roller legs and then put a notched piece of wood from that up to the crank pulley. That will keep it from bouncing if you roll it and keep from torsional stress on those two bolts.

thanks for the tip. I did notice the bouncing a bit when I rolled it on my driveway... it was a bit un-nerving. I'll do that tomorrow after work first thing.

The bolts will be fine. However, the irons do get brittle over time. I have personally seen the bolt holes in the front iron crack and have an engine fall off the stand. I would use 3 bolts if you can.

I am going to try to souce another bolt for the OEM stud in the front iron... it looks liek I will be able to line one up with that.

only problem is it's near impossible to find metric bolts (even in Canada... were a metric country so I have no idea why)...
