Always a bit hard to start, why?

I have a single setup in my car, with a power fc.

When the car is cold i have to crank it for maybe 5-10 seconds, and when hot maybe 15-30 seconds. WHY???

Have you had a check engine light? A bad coolant temp sensor will do this because the computer thinks the engine is still cold and dumps in extra fuel. Mine did this. When it was hot, acted like it was flooding and didn't want to crank.

Check for stored codes. All you gotta do is use a paper clip, bent in a U shape, open the little black diagnostic box on the driver side under the hood, and jump the Ten pin and the Gnd pin. Then get in, cut the key on, and it will flash you the codes. A long flash is the tens digit, and the quicker ones are the ones digits. Like a long flash, then three shorts is a 13. If you got a code, do a search and find the list of codes and check what you got.

Go into the Sensor Check screen on the Commander. If the water temp sensor is bad, it will be highlighted in black. If you go into the Monitor screen and pick water temp, you'll get no reading - just dashes.
