What kind of alarm system is your fd equiped with? Should you trust a local dealer with instalation??

with the factory alarm, you shouldn't have a problem taking it to a dealer. But, on the same token, someone that installs alarms for a living will probably be better equipped to handle any type of alarm system

I currently have the viper 791vx, pretty good alarm, had it installed at sound advice. Here is the problem though, if a theif wants your car badly enough, and he is well trained, he WILL steal it, wether it is with a tow truck or what. So in reality, an alarm is more of a deterent than anything else, hopefully scaring the theif to go to another car.
