To all the x-perts

Is the airpump necessary for anything other than the cat-convertor? If I disconnect the line off of the back side of the engine, (Long enough to go to emissions and back), will it run ok?

If you are running a cat and disconnect the air pump from it, you'll start clogging your cat pretty quick (which will lead to not too favorable boost).

Don't disconnect the air pump UNLESS you are running a midpipe.
