Duh, I just went and looked and I have one of these extensions on my car. I'll take some pics and post them tomorrow or something. There's a bunch of tape in there from an event but it shows how it fits in etc.

When I was using my m2 large I hand made my own outta some sheet aluminum and rivits for free.

Absolutely, but it isn't as easy to make a pretty black matching fiberglass one.

Spray paint and FD don't belong in the same sentence. FB maybe I have seen one individual in Houston, doing touch up on the exterior of his FB with black spray paint...
