Thumbs up Airpump Removal??????????????

HEY CAN ANYONE TEL ME IF IT IS OK TO REMOVE AIR PUMP AND RUN STANDARD PULLEYS WITH SMALLER BELT TO SUIT??????????? I PRESUME IT WIL BE OK BUT THE WATER PUMP WON'T GET AS MUCH GRIP..........

its good to ask, ive seen some people do strange things to their cars...

but as for the removal (AFAIK) you need a new pully cause of the way the belt will run around the water pump

you might have to over-tension the belt to get good grip on the stock water pump pulley since it's smooth, but that's not good for the belt. Just spend the $100 for the pulley kit. I put mine in last weekend and it was a piece of cake, except for breaking the nut on the alternator(impact gun is a necesity).
