Airbag light coming on

When I am in reverse my airbag light comes on. Is this normal?

mine came on cause i lowered it and the front wheels rubbed through the inner fender and cut the wires in half lol. oh well so i pulled the light bulb and now it beeps 5 times 5 times when i start it.
