Air temp sensor question

my haltec is reading quite off on my air temp sensor....

it says about 80 degrees before i start the car on a 65 degree day, and on the highway it reads around 130-140 when the car is warmed up....

toughts/comments?

Sounds right to me, if the Haltech numbers are in Fahrenheit. What are your mods and IC setup?

stock ic... intake, dp, catback, stock midpipe... ive been doing alot of reading on the sensor... (seems im not the only person with this concern) i guess my main question now is, is the stock one good enuf? or should i upgrade (i plan to be single turbo soon) and which sensor should i upgrade to?

i was a little weary about relocating mine into the elbow since im on a pettit ecu. If I could monitor the sensor then I would have done it while I had everything out. I really wanted when putting on the BOPs but then I figured nah leave it just in case.
