That air pipe? Can I cap it off?

So I just installed a new exhaust system today. I removed the stock cat, but what do I do with the AIR pipe? Should I just cap it off? Are there any drivability problems in doing so? Should I weld in a feed port on my new mid-pipe… What would be the best way to go about this?
THANKS!

I say remove the airpump entirely and get a shorter belt. Or get some underdrive pulleys that come with the shorter belt and eliminate the air pump at the same time. That will free up some power and clean up the engine bay. In the mean time you can pull the relay to the air pump and just leave it be.
