Air guide with aftermarket airbox and SMIC

Hi guys,

I'd like to know if the air guide is useful with an oem '93 bumper if I have a m2 airbox and a large m2 SMIC?

Thanks.

If you are talking about the intercooler duct, yes it is useful. It will direct the air thru the intercooler rather than allowing air to go around it.

Thanks for the answer but I'm not talking about the IC duct. I'm talking about the plastic part that sits between the front bumper and the chassis.

It plugs a gap between the rebar and frame, otherwise some air that should go through your radiator would bleed out through that gap

It also gives shape and support to the front bumper. Without it the bottom of the front bumper opening has nothing to attach to and will be flapping in the breeze.
