air flow rate of engine
air flow rate of engine
does anybody know the air flow rate of our engines. lets say typical modified...exhaust, intake, blah blah lbah in lb/min? i'm doing some turbo research. anybody help me out on this?
its a relatively simple calculation if you know the combustion chamber volume (1.3L) and what RPM you want to calculate for.
[Rev/min] * [Liters/rev] = [Liters/min].
just thinking about it i think you only get 1/3 of 1.3L for 1 revolution, i.e. it takes 3 eccentric shaft revolutions for 1 rotor revolution.

i might be way off here, but at a theoretical 14.7 PSI of boost, it would behave like a 2.6L NA right? You need to take into account for added volume from the turbos. probably a pretty in depth equation with lots of variables. inlet temp, exhaust temp, etc.
