Air flow mods
Air flow mods
Hey Guys. I'm moving back to the states in August and I'm looking at spending some money on the FD for my vacation project. My 94 FD is completely stock right now. I plan to have a PFC installed before I start modifying the car. I was looking at going after the air flow parts first. Here's a list:
-M2 Carbon fiber intake box
-A'PEXi Twin Chamber BOV
-Hi-flow cat
-Cat-back exhaust
optional:
-GReddy Elbow
-M2 Polished Intake pipes
I'd rather save the few hundred dollars that I'll spend on the aluminum intake and elbow pipes for summer shopping but I'm worried about where I'm going to install the BOV. I'd like some advice from the veteran tuners on the best way to install the valve. I know I can do it with the GReddy elbow if I get the BOV flange option, but I'd rather save that $200+ for the time being. Where is the best place to install the valve and what's the best way to do it? I know the kits say they come with everything needed to install, but there's no substitute for tuners' wisdom. Let me know your suggestions on the hi-flow cat and exhaust too. I'd like to get a nice pipe with good sound and all, but I'd rather go with something like the Blitz NUR spec for sub-$400 than drop an arm and a leg for something that the differing performance curve for isn't worth the price. Let me know. Thanks for the help.

What about a ported throttle body? I have seen this for sale but havent heard anyone talk about it yet. Does this have a significant effect on the airflow or turbulance? Is it a worth while mod?
