air bypass valve

hi just changed one of my vac line from the charge releif valve n left the hose off the airbox that comes from the air bypass valve is it ok to leave off ? is it venting out?

sounds better than most BOV's

Its fine to have it venting,,, its a blow off valve if you want to vent it so u can hear it thats fine.

It would be wise to put some sort of filter on it to avoid dirty air from getting sucked in.

what is the best kind of filter to use on such a small application?
something similar to the small k&n looking air pump filter that rotary performance sells?
