Aftermartket crash ratings?
Hey guys,
Looking at bringing an fd out of the US into canada, hoping I can find one with a nice bumper that has a 5mph crash rating. Seems to be difficult to find any ratings for even the big producers, like apexi.
Anybody have any info for me?
Also, some of the aftermarket hoods have a ton of gaps/slots/scoops, what are the chances that these hoods are drivable in the rain? Can slots be modified with FG to plug them ?

if u want a bumper with 5 mile crash rating, ur best bet is the factory bumper. Maybe you can get away with polyurethane bumpers. but most aftermarket bumpers are made for looks, not to crash.

Are you serious? 5mph crash test ratings for aftermarket bumpers? Almost all of them are fiberglass. The answer is NO.
Rain trays can be fabbed up for vented hoods (the better ones even come with them).
