Arrow aftermarket rotors with hats

Does anyone know if there is a aftermarket brake rotor that will fit with the stock calipers that have HATS and not the normal hub.
I have bought rotors that were cadium plated, I have painted rotors and no matter what they still rust and look like crap after.

If i can get a set that have the anodized removable hats, like what come with aftermarket calipers, that would be sweet...

I believe Endless makes stock replacement, 2-piece rotors IIRC. Try posting in Rishie's (ARD T2) section: https://www.rx7club.com/a-138/ , or PMing him. He is a master distributor for thier parts.

Here you go, found this in his forum:

Thanx Dclin, I'll look into it more. Anyone else hear of any two piece rotors for the stock calipers?

I'm not sure why you have such a bad rusting problem, but it would likely be cheaper to just replace the rotors with aftermarket 1-piece rotors every time they get rusty than go with 2-piece rotors.

My car never sees rain blah blah, so im very **** about the condition. Even with a wash and wax, the wetting of the rotors creates surface rust or they just look like crap.

I realize two piece are more for race app but i think the anodized hats would be a nice benifit to me. If i cant get just the rotors I may ugrade the whole kit but thats a maybe

I have to admit that part of the reason for me organizing the original 99spec Precision Brake 2-piece rotors GB was because I really liked looking at machined aluminum than cast iron 'hat' haha.

Dclin, are you saying that Precision Brake made a 2 piece rotor for the 99 spec calipers. Are the rotors the same size, or are the 99 spec bigger? If memory serves me correct the 99 are bigger, so they wont fit my OEM application

An aftermarket kit (brembo etc) isnt really what i need, so if there is no rotors for the S6 perhaps ill look into finding a 99 spec kit with the PB rotors.

they are bigger. If you wanted to goto that expense, I'm sure precision could make a stock size rotor.

Are you using something like the Hawk pads which may be eating the rotor finish?

The original GB thread appears to have been deleted, but here is a write up by damian:

https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/rs-rz-brakes-install-notes-pics-warning-many-big-pics-316901/

I haven't been following up since then, but I'm sure Precision can still make the hats and source the rotors for you - the calipers themselves were sourced through the RX7 Store.

www.precisionbrakes.com

The orginal GB price came out to around $2000 (depending on the options choosen) for the complete, front and rear kit - OE RZ/RS calipers, hardware, and the Precision 2-peice rotors. Prices for the OE parts have gone up since then, and of course the GB pricing no longer applies. I imagine it's still a excellent deal though.

Hope that helps.

Daniel
