Question Aftermarket Intercooler for FD

Just was wondering which aftermarket Intercooler you would recommend that is CARB legal and mates nicely with a M2 Cold Air Intake Box and doesn't require the battery to be moved?

Although the pipes don't fit perfectly.

M2 medium, but I don't think any of the aftermarket IC's are carb legal technically, but they will pass emission.

The only carb legal intercooler I know of is the HKS front mount.

The IC that i know for sure that will fit with the M2 intake are the M2 intercoolers of course, the RX7fashion IC, and the CWC IC. THere may be others but those are the only ones that I know of from the top of my head

If you go to the list on the cali emissions site, they list a bunch of Greddy and HKS parts, most of which probably haven't been manufactured since Bush senior was in office.

Greddy stock mount is carb legal, and so is the HKS FMIC, that's it, no others are CARB legal. Something u might want to try is to have the border of the SMIC powder coated black...maybe u wont get hassled.
