After months of sitting idle in the garage...

I been throwing my winter project off for a while since the weather was so nasty out for the past few months and I finally completed changing out my water hoses to prevent leaks. Today I put my plates back on and decided to go for a drive... after a full warm up I go for a drive... as soon as I go under boost about at 3 lbs I here a pop! then 0 boost... there is no smoke nothing burning up just barren nada boost... ever since this sound there is no boost at all and car feels sluggish of course, another reminder that it aint a 7 unless there is always a domino of problems haha~

I'm dreading to figure out what caused this pop sound (most likely a hose that popped out from pressure) then no boost, I did a search but only found threads with boost issues where it is different from mine.

Any pointers will be appreciated as I would hate to literally go through every hose again to check for leaks :\ what a nightmare haha

Check the boost connector hoses - you almost certainly popped one off. No boost at all is a definite symptom of that.

I just threw in a new yellow top Optima battery last week so I doubt it is the battery issue, I was also unaware the battery can cause no boost?

im voting on the boost controller line, but at the same time the car should make boost up to the factory wastegate setting. how heavy is the spring? or is it stock?

Check your IC couplings or boost hoses.

That happened to me a while back. I punched it coming off any off ramp onto the highway and heard POP.

I got scared and put the car in neutral (while going like 60mph on the highway) to see how the idle was. And it was perfect.

So i was thinking what the hell could it be?

So then punched it again a couple of minutes later and car felt dead. Well dead compared to boost lol. So im like wtf?

Got home popped the hood and found out my IC coupling took a crap. No it didnt just come loose off an IC pipe. Like the coupling actually ripped and broke. Yes it was the shitty blue IC couplings most companies give you with your IC.

So i replaced it with a hose techniques rubber coupling and 2 years later all good.

PS: I thought you were selling the car?

The spring is stock and I will check out the boost controller line to see what's up, thanks for the input

This sounds identical to what happened to me, my idle is normal yet no boost... I was actually thinking is most likely is the IC couplers since they are still the original stock ones. Going to replace them anyways even if they aren't cause I remember them not being as snug when I was installing them back in.

I was actually planning to sell the car then I had constant lowballers hitting me up for 10k ~ 12k so I decided to take her off insurance and keep her for the time being. My financial situation has gotten a little better as well so I'm holding up In the mean time I'm planning to get rid of the little kinks here and there.

I agree the rats enjoy wires and hoses but I'm 100% sure there aren't any in my garage.
