AF Engineering carbon fiber lic. plate

I just received my carbon fiber license plate from AF engineering yesterday, also known as rockshox on the board. I just thought I would include some pics of it. Extremely good quality and nicely priced. PM him if you want more info. or you can go to his site www.lighter.net

that's my intentions. i just wanted a different base than a plain black plate. i have a good vinyl guy in town, so i'll have him put the appropriate font to it and voila!

I wonder if rockshox has considered making them a few inches shorter, so that you don't have the part that hangs down into the radiator opening... Interesting idea though, keep us posted.

i was curious about that myself. just make an actual panel, instead of a license plate, that covers just the plastic area. that wouldn't be too bad of an idea. i don't see it restricting airflow to my fmic much, but if i decide i don't like it that low, i might cut it just a little

It looks good...

I am having one made at carbonfiber.net (ala Mark Koch) with the RX-7 logo...the logo should match the RX-7 logo on the rear of the FD...also he puts the "sticker" underneath the clear so it looks flush....I will post pics when he gets it finalized.

thanks for the good words. i can make them shorter or you can just cut it off and sand it. it might look kind of funny though, someone should photochop it.

you also might want to look into this place for making the rx-7 logo: www.bumperfx.com
