Advice Needed Please

Hey guys,

I'm having the engine replaced in my rx7 type r by the garage I bought it from, as it blew. The car I bought is a jap import, the 280bhp type r type.

However, I'm concerned that they replace it with one of the lower powered engines.

Does any1 know the actual power difference between the different models of 3rd gen rx7's and how the power difference is brought about? For example if they replaced it with a 255 bhp engine could I easily bring it to 280?

How are the engines actually different? If at all...

Thanks for any help

i also am not an expert but do believe it was in the turbo system that they mamde that power. All you need to do is reaserch it and you will find the differences between the two.
