adjusting tps

So I have a new tps I am trying to adjust. For some reason when I go to set the full throttle it never goes over 1 volt. I have adjusted it to the max in both directions with no change. Anyone have a clue what I might be doing wrong?

How are you testing the TPS - multimeter or sensor check screen on a PowerFC?

Also, the tabs on the TPS can not line up with the tabs on the throttle body making it not work, that's a possibility.

Ya I am doin the multimeter way from TPS Adjustment

I tested the tps not bolted to the throttle body and it seems to work just fine. I must be a fool when putting it on though.

So I am a knucklehead.... The tps needs to be angled towards the upper drivers side before it is put in.

When you took it apart being a first time, you should have checked it out as to how it functions. Very similar to the variable resistors in a volume control for a stereo.
