Added an R1 Strut Bar - Feels better

I wanted to discuss what the group thought about adding a strut bar. Either I am imagining things, or this really improves the cornering. It felt alot tighter in the curves this morning and like there was less understeer. Has this been anyone else's experience? Is there really that much flex in the front end of these cars? Just really curious...

A front strut bar really stabilizes the front end. Steering and turning are a lot more solid. Any strut bar will do pretty much the same thing.

It makes the front end more solid and improves accuracy, especially over bumpy surfaces. I even noted less creaks and rattles after installing mine. But it's not a massive improvement and won't make the car handle "better" or understeer less.

So you are saying it doesn't help roll steer from occurring?

Definitely doesn't help roll. There's no way it could. It's just not that sort of part.

I was happy with mine for the price. Cheap part is not going to make leaps and bounds performance wise. It's good for the cost.

I don't think you are imagining things. The car should not have left the factory without a strut bar. I felt the difference too.

It will decrease chassis flex. Great for bumps and stuff and certainly cant hurt in really hard cornering.
