Question ACT Clutch ZX3-HDMM vs ZX3-HDSS

I've been using an ACT ZX3-HD00 clutch on my car for the past few years. It's time to replace it, and I have heard from several people that the HD00 is no longer available. I -think- that the HDMM is the replacement for this, but I haven't actually confirmed that.

That being said, I was reading the specs on the ACT site and the HDMM and HDSS are practically identical. They use the same exact pressure plate (so does that mean they feel the same, when shifting?)... and release and pilot bearings. The difference appears to be the disc.

My car is putting down about 340-350whp, and equal torque... so it should be just fine at their 402ft/lbs mark.

Thoughts?
Stephen

Personally, if you are going to be autocrossing or road coursing on a semi regular basis, go with the zx3-HDSS.

The pressure plate determines pedal feel, so yes, your conclusion is correct. The pedal feel will be the same between the two choices.

I have the HDMM, it feels great. I didn`t really need the extra torque rating, but I figured to go with the higher rated one in case I went single down the road.... and it was cheaper that the HDSS, so that helped in the decision.
