Hey I believe you are right about the pressure in the system, after checking everything, compressor work fine if jump, pressure switch was replace same thing, and thermoswtich seems to work fine. However according to the manual if the pressure in the system inaccurate, the pressure switch will shut the cut power to the compressor which make sense. What I don't get is when I de pressure the system I still can't charge it?

When I service a system I usually put in 1/2 oz or so if I'm not replacing any major components where oil would reside (evaporator, condenser, compressor, drier).

Guys is there another souce for a.c lines? I am planning to replace everything on mine too, I just notice that my too is shot I took it a part then I decide to shake it and I hear small stuff inside making noise? So I decide to cut it half to see what the hell is the noise. To my surprise the freon turn into small round beads size ball? What can cause the freon in the dryer to becomes small round bead ball?

R-12 Mineral Oil
Dale - you score points again - I was able to find R-12 mineral oil at a NAPA about 10 miles away. Cost me a whole $8.50 for a quart too. They don't have it on display, you have to ask for it - and the bottle is kinda dusty - don't they know we need this stuff for our cars when we convert them to Hydrocarbon based refrigerants???
Actually - will any of the commonly available PAG or Esters work in a RX7 with the HC-based gases??? (I will assume that we are smart enough to flush out all of the old oil first). I'm going with the mineral oil because I don't want to change out all my o-rings - but it seems the oil ring replacement kits are freely available now.

I realize this is an old thread, but I found some VERY useful info about MANA driers. A company called Ready-Aire still makes the drier for the MANA system. It is Ready-Aire part number 4016 and can currently be bought at partsamerica.com for $57.99

after ordering 4 different driers from different sources and none of them fitting my lines properly, my shop and i just decided to re-work the lines to fit the available driers. that way next time its easier to replace.

finally got the right one from malloy mazda, but they said its getting harder to find these, so if you need one, better order it soon.
