Anyone ever replace the big hexagon shaped seal on the top of the AC compressor. I have the rebuild kit but have no clue on how to get that top piece off other than the 4 allen bolts. Do you have to separate the compressor housing.

 

Remove all the bolts that you find .The unit comes completely apart with no need for special tools .There are a couple of small parts in that valve ,do not loose them .You do not need to seperate the compressor , but why not and check and clean the complete unit .I take apart the complete unit and my son polishes them .Not hard at all ,if I can so can you . Good skill to you .
