AC Air condition unit Switch

Anyone knows for sure what year the Air condition unit for the FD3s switched to CFC-free refrigerant? I have heard conflicting results

And what parts of the system actually changed?
Compressor?
Condenser?
Dryer?
Dash cooling unit with expansion valve?
