On a 93 touring I swapped the leaking ABS unit with a J-spec ABS unit. It seems to function except for slight drag on the brakes. You really only notice it under 5mph, but there is also the burning brake pad smell.

I did have to do a couple minor swaps (bracket, mounting of proportioning valve) due to the fact that it was on a right hand drive car.

Is there an incompatibility with the j-spec ABS unit or is there just a solenoid/valve problem within the unit?
