ABS light is on
I recently had some suspension work performed. Now the ABS light comes on and stays on when I first get over 5 mph. The shop "diagnosed" a bad driver side front sensor which they replaced, but the problem still persists.
I tried to locate the bad sensor. I jacked up the front of the car and removed the wheels. I started the car, then spun the hub as fast as I could by hand. Spinning the driver front caused the light to come on, so I'm assuming the new sensor is good (light comes on because no other wheel is moving). Spinning the passenger side doesn't cause the light to come on. Also, jacking up the rear, putting it in gear and getting up to 15 mph or so doesn't turn on the light.
Then I checked the front passenger sensor with an analog meter, and it appears to be shorted. I figured a broken wire would be more likely and result in no continuity. Anyone ever see a shorted sensor? Does this sound like the culprit?
Thanks.
