99 trigger wheel on series 6 car.

I'm trouble shooting a spark issue with a friends fd. My friend has a 94 touring model all stock. Just replaced the engine with a 99 keg. I did inform him not to use none of the 99 accessories like harness, coils, etc etc . I started trouble shooting and noticed that he used the 99 trigger wheel. I'm now wondering since they look identical if there technically the same.

These are things I replaced with working ones.

Coils + coil harness
Ignitor
crank sensors
ecu
Spark plugs wires

The coils have power but ecu is not triggering signal to spark. I'm leaning to a new engine harness .....

They're the same, its very easy to swap the sync sensor with the pulse sensor on the harness. Dont worry about swapping the sensor as they're the same, just swap the plugs.
