99 Spec Turbos w/ Re-programmed 94 5 spd ECU

HI ,

Does anyone know if I could run 99 spec turbos with an upgraded/re-programmed stock ECU by Rotary Performance?? Its setup for all the bolt-ons, intake, exhaust, SMIC, and 14.5 psi from stock 93-95 turbos. Just wondering if I could bolt up 99 spec turbos and make it work with same ECU. Thanks in advance.

PS - BTW I have asked Rotatry Performance and they say that they recommend a Power FC for them. but I think they just want to sell me both things (turbos and PFC w/ commander)

Thanks

Get a wideband and find out for yourself. Otherwise, the safest thing to do is purchase a PFC and take it to a professional.

The 99 spec turbos are not much different than the 93-95 turbos. Keep the boost under control, and you will be fine with what you have.

You will be fine. Set boost at 12 pounds and dont run a midpipe. Injector duty cycle can be a problem at higher boost. G
