I personally am wingless.

Are you going with a OEM style center section or that exact one that you pictured? If you get the one pictured then I would install it.

With that being said, if I ever changed my mind, I could easily fill the holes and repaint the trunk at any time with minimal expense ( other then my personal time and effort).

The fact that you just said that completely boggles my mind to the point that I'm thinking you're trolling. At least I hope you are

I'll answer your question with this though: C.A.R.B. The California Air Resources Board, also known as CARB or ARB, is the "clean air agency". In other words, laws have been put in place to stop the modification of engines and tuners happen to be the prime target. Yeah sure no one targets tuners. "Nah officer that wing is there so I can hang my laundry, it's not for downforce" . Unfortunately in my state, smog laws are vehemently enforced.

So using a spoiler as an excuse is , imo, silly because these cars attract way too much attention as it is. A spoiler won't help, but that definitely isn't the first reason a cop would pull you over for.
If you haven't noticed a 99 wing gives off a more tuner look than a spoiler on a camry. And that is all that we are saying because if you give off the vibe of a tuner, you are more likely to get pulled over. Simple concept really. I'll explain it further:

These are two similar cars that give off completely different vibes. So which owner is most likely to:

have a clean driving record and be going to see the grand kids
have a few speeding tickets and likely have illegal modifications under the hood

You can bet an officer will profile the occupant based on the automobile alone

I tried responding with some decency but clearly you're the one that can't read and/or is trolling. I specifically stated from MY EXPERIENCE and in MY AREA. Nor have I ever directed any apart of my first post in this thread to you. I posted my opinion based on purely my own experience (I hope you can at least comprehend every area is different). The spoiler isn't half as obnoxious as you make it out to be, The tuners in my area run wings that are probably double the size of the 99' spec. I've owned multiple sports cars as I've stated and I've never been a target and got pulled over for nonsense. I've definitely been pulled over and the cop was surprised by my attitude, maybe being an *** doesn't help you when they are free to hassle you all they want when you're pulled over. At the end of the day, it is my opinion vs yours. You believe it attracts the wrong attention and many others believe the opposite.

I get what Montego is saying... but also, we don't all live in Cali with ARB cops just pulling people over to have them pop the hood.

I've only lived for extended amounts of time in Metro Detroit and Miami - but a spoiler in either of those places wouldn't make a difference. In Detroit car culture is in our blood, we don't have any emissions testing and a spoiler is much less assuming then wheelie bars on the street. In Miami, uninsured drivers are the biggest threat to the Lambos & Mazeratis driving around.

But to each their own. Spoiler or not, it's going to be how you drive it that garners attention.

That's what I've been trying to say since my first reply to him. I don't live in the same area as him and it isn't nearly as strict. The spoiler flows well with the FD and I consider it a low profile wing.

Thats the only reply you can come up with? Lol. Sad you can't even act your age bro! Btw, atleast I'm not trying to convince people to change their opinions of an exterior mod. You literally replied to everyone that had an opinion against yours "Bro".

Hey I just call as I see it. You obviously can't handle a conversation with an opposing view without getting all bitchy. Seriously are you that much of a bitch in real life or do you only act up in the internet?

Act my age? Please... Never, ever.

Can you read? At your age I'd be ashamed. Anyways have fun arguing with people over the forums over an opinion based question.

What are you 15? Your comebacks are literally as terrible as your argument. But then again I wouldn't expect someone like you to be able to read simple sentences. In your world, everyone lives in California. Never think I'd see the day of finding a supposed adult that doesn't possess basic reading capabilities.

This wasn't meant to lead to an argument, please lets put our differences aside.

I've decided to keep it wingless

Mods are welcome to close the thread.

Hey Einstein... What was that about reading comprehension and in my world everyone lives in California?

From the first page...

You obviously didn't get it the first time so I'm going to dumb it down for you: That is basically a direct acknowledgement that we both reside in different states and must abide by our state's laws... Huh go figure Egg-->face

Now who has issues with their reading comprehension skills? Aw apparently that would be you. Maybe you should go back and re-read my replies to you and you will realize that there wasn't a need for you to get your panties up in a wad.

So you stating the California State Laws and referring them to me like it matters is relevant? Good job nit picking through my replies when you haven't answered a single part of them "einstein". The part where you quote me about my conversion has nothing to do with the actual thread do you realize that? Oh you're also a moron for thinking any type of conversion will be legal in any state but then again I can't justify your stupidity enough. Time to take a look into the mirror when your literally 40+ years old and you get butt hurt over opinions on forum buddy. Keep bragging about making an *** over yourself whenever you got pulled over cause thats literally the highlight reel of your life.

Drive over 100 mph and you might like that wing. Kills the rear visibility but who cares what's behind you unless it has flashing lights on it.
