95 A spec motor in to 92 JDM car. Fuel Thermo Sensor

Hey all,

I'm doing an engine swap on my 92 JDM FD. I've been searching, but most people obviously do this the other way around, when swapping a JDM motor in to an A spec chassis. I am going to repin connector X-05, and my question is with the fuel thermo sensor. The JDM EM harness and F harness, both have a slot for the thermo sensor, the USDM X-05 harness has no such slots. Was the position of the thermo sensor wiring moved between JDM and USDM cars? Any help would be appreciated, incidentally, the ecu is a power commander

you dont need to do anything to the harness. use the engine harness thats already in the car and just swap the motor. you only need to repin x05 if going from AT to MT.

No, sorry, I think you're incorrect. X-05 on the Jspec harness is a 12 pin connector, and X-05 on the US spec is a 10 pin. The pin locations are different as well. This is copied from another thread:

then i am incorrect. thanks for the info. either way, just use the existing harness in your car and swap the motor. you wont need to do anything with the wiring

It's not a Japanese car, but for the local rhd market car, fuel thermosensor went by EM to X-16, then via D, to X-08, then F, to the ecu, nothing by X-05. I'd be surprised if routing changed - although wire colours can be different.
