if you search threw the idle threads....chances are you'll find what you need to fix it, or atleast troubleshoot the problem...
i had a idle problem...thought it was a vac leak....ended up taking off the UIM and the ISC wires weren't even plugged in....
and there are threads about the smoke also....i also get this on warm up...
good luck

yea, it stops smoking after it gets warmed up after about 2 minutes or so.. but the backfiring when u Rev up the rpm still backfires, but when ur driving it on the road, it doesnt backfire at all.. an then the idle problem, i did some research and thats the computer.. the computer learns itself i read.. so.. i guess its just a rx-7 thing.

No, it's not an RX-7 thing. Your car has a mechanical problem. You have received advice on how to troubleshoot it but have not followed any of it. My advice would be to take it to a shop and quit wasting your time posting here about it.

Are your turbos leaking oil? If you can't see any leaks externally, perhaps take off the crossover pipe and check for oil. When my turbos went bad I had an immense amount of oil in the intake piping. Smoked on startup, then went away after 2 minutes, just like yours.
