93 stereo non Bose pin diagram & center speaker help

I'm trying to activate the center dash speaker with an aftermarket stereo (had the stock Clarion unit). I can get the speaker to come on by connecting 12V to one of the unused pins (which I believe goes to the center speaker amp). Unfortunately, it is very noisy and gets big engine noise when the car is running. Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated. There is one other pin on the smaller connector that is not connected and I'm not sure if that's something that should be connected.

Thanks - Tom

Tom -

I know this was a long time ago but I'm hoping you may remember some details. Did you ever get your center speaker working OK?

I have a '93 3rd gen RX7 tourer with and all stock (Bose) audio system but it has a Clarion center amp. Everything works OK except for the center speaker. The speaker itself is good as I've tested it elsewhere. I'm wondering if the Clarion center amp needs some modifications to work with the rest of the stock Bose system. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Dave
