93 Paint problems

Hey all... I Was reading up on the 93 FD paint problems on black, red and blue..... Im thinking about taking mine into a dealership, cuz there are some nasty dinks on the front bumper and little white spots on the hood here and there. Has anyone gotten mazda to repaint their car? Any reccomendations on how to get them to repaint it?

Thanks

STeve

You can try to touch them up yourself. Aint gonna be perfect be it'd look better. If you're really picky, you might want to repaint the whole car.

I've got a little bottle of touchup paint I use for the little dings that show up from time to time. It will do fine until I get a new paint job.

About the whole warranty on paint and body i thought i saw something about 93s having a place right at the corner of the headlight, front fender and bumper, That some imperfection in the point caused it to rust. When i first got my FD noticed a rust spot there and was wondering if it ever was covered under warranty and if so, is there any chance on me being the 2nd owner getting it fixed by mazda.

Thanks

i think touchup paint for the montego blue 3rd gen's is not worth it...... even when you mix the paint very thoroughly, it will only match one shade of the color...... so if it happen to be blue..... it will only match the paint at night, and during the day time..... you are stuck with a blue spot on green paint

My '93 VR RX-7 was stripped and repainted for the 1st owner by Mazda in 1995. The problem was a primer product which did adhere properly causing the paint to crack and peel off. Front bumpers, hood and quarter panels were the most obvious places.
