Jeez where's the maturity on this forum lately? Lol
At least the engine is japanese still and one of the best at that. So he has awesome fd looks with the amazing power and reliability of the 2jz. Seems like a win win to me..
And before any of you start that it will suck at handling argument, most fd owners don't track their car anyway so that doesn't matter.

A good place to go is the FAQ thread stickied in this forum and also the newbie section. In the FAQ thread you will find info on Ray Crowe, Parts Manager at Malloy Mazda. He gives us all discounts on new OEM parts and knows the car inside and out.
While you are READING useful threads on this forum, you might as well read the RULES stickied in the newbie section so that you don't create any more post whorish posts.
Welcome to the forum. Follow the rules and we'll all get along great.

im kinda confused.
now im a dodge guy....always have, always will....i love the FD.....have since 93. now i am a married man with 4 kids and all the bills that go with that.....i DO NOT and WILL NOT (in the near future) have the mula to fork out to put into the super picky rotary, (i love the rotary) so im looking to get a super good already built car when i do at tax time....now if that breaks down, do i try to rebuild it or do i decide to put a piston motor in my car.....it seems to me that the budget friendly/reliable thing to do would be to put a piston in there......now again i know about loyalty to a brand but at what point does loyalty succumb to making the smart decision and secondly why is it hard for others to see that?
just my .02

Going piston doesnt wont save you any $$$$$. You'll spend just as much if not more to go LS or 2JZGTE.
Do the rotary right the first time round.
Say you want your motor to last the better part of the decade, youre probably better off looking at buying aforementioned cars to begin with.

Going ls will be more money no question. But there are many worry free moments a modern v8 will give you over the rotary.
I own both rotary and ls2 so I know.

If you're on a budget I suggest looking into a different car. Otherwise save a bit more and get an ls swapped fd. Already built and ready.
