93 fd rx7 starting issue?

first id like to say i did search, couldn't find much on this particular issue.
my cars a 1993 RX-7 R1 with 78,800 miles. all maintence was done 4,000 miles ago ( plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter, 02 sensor, oil change/filter , etc.) car always started up fine cold or hot. then this morning and all day since everytime i go to start the car it doesn't wanna start it wants to but dies... if i start it and press the gas pedal it'll rev roughly then immediately smoothen out and operate perfectly fine and normal. i dont know why its having some trouble starting and rough idle for a few secs... for mods all i have done is aluminum AST, HKS downpipe, oem midpipe, and hks hi-power exhaust, also apexi dual intakes and hks bov. anyone have any ideas? im thinking maybe fuel injectors? or ecu problem? maybe sparkplugs?

change your sparkplugs first, then look into more serious issues.

leaking injector maybe? making one of the rotors gas soaked and not work so well for a few seconds.

next time you drive it when you get to your destination pull the fuel pump fuse so the motor shuts off. (lowers fuel rail pressure alot so no flooding). Then when you go to start it again pop in the fuse and see if it starts normally.

Edit: also a side note I dont have the idle air controller on my car (no a/c, ps or airpump either) so my car will never idle right until i drive 2 or so blocks and it warms up a little
