93 fd

i just bought a fd and it is a rolling shassis. it is completely gutted. do i start by instaling all the wiring harnesses? i need to know what to do first so that i dont screw myself down the road. so what are the steps? wiring, dynamat, carpet etc... or what? thank you for all ur guys help...

personally if your gonna use a sound deadening material try out what danny mac used on his car i forget the name but his car is still a work in progress here is the link to the thread, all the info should be there *somewhere* personally though id hit paint first if it needs it, then the sound treatment, followed by the electrical, that way everything is out of the way until you need it. welcome to the wonderful world of the FD and good luck

Well, good and bad news. Have all new wiring harness is great, bad news, they around about $3k or so from Mazda. It would be nice to build a car from ground up, but if you dont have $25k to spend I suggest selling that car and getting a blown engine car for $6-8k. Just my opinion. Parts are getting more expensive thru Mazda, and the once surplus of quality used parts is dwindling by the day with more commonly higher mileage less desirable used parts available on the market.

- a race car
