93 Engine Removal
I am trying to remove the engine in my 93. I have the engine seperated about .25 of an inch from the manual trans. but that is all it will go. I cannot get them to seperate all the way. Anyone run into this before?

check the link in my sig, then read on and you'll see where i cover it.
edit: or i'll just post it for you, easier this way...
here's what's holding your tranny on:
copy/paste magic:
the ring i'm pulling on in the pic is like a release for the clutch. in order to remove the transmission from the engine, you have to open up the little service hole on the bellhousing and stick a long screwdriver in there to push that ring IN while you pull the transmission OUT. being that i am doing this solo, it made for some interesting garage gymnastics. it wasn't really that bad though, as long as you know how to do it (i found a rather well-made vid online to show what's what).

To make things a little simpler without having to go into great detail about how to release the throw-out bearing from the pressure plate.
Just unbolt the pressure plate from the flywheel. If you have already done this then the pilot bearing is hung up on the trans input shaft.
