Is it possible to swap out just the odometer screen? Recently bought an FD but the odo screen looks melted. I assume this is from the car sitting in the sun here in the tropics. It illuminates so I know it’s functional but I’m just not able to read it. See attached image.

 

I haven't heard of anyone replacing that part. Here is a link to some more info about repairing the cluster and speedo, but that's mostly capacitors and diodes.
